Fresh Start

So often we come across fresh starts in our life - New opportunities, new year's, new jobs, new schools. When a fresh start comes around we have the best of intentions to stick to a resolution and make a change in our lives. The question is - Can you stay committed to that resolution?

Well, I decided to start blogging again. I've been wanting to write so much lately and get my idea's out there. It's been inspiring to be audience to so many speaker's here at University of South Dakota. I want to share what I learn and experience, and how I will expand on these thoughts by applying them to my life.

Today I actually had coffee with Natalie Diaz, an inspiring Native American author, poet, and former professional basketball player. She comes from the Fort Mojave reservation and works with elders to restore her tribes language. Her latest work, a novel - When My Brother Was An Aztec, will soon be published. It was a really great visit!
